Japanese Street Fashion August 13, 2007

Filed under: FASHION, FASHON, japanese — tomatofizz @ 5:02 pm

Japanese street fashion is one of the most trendiest and craziest fashion in the world. But It all depends on were in the Tokyo streets you go to. Harajuku has the most freakiest and most imaginative clothing/costumes. People in Ginza and Omotesnado wear more of a high class fashion. Ginza*the most expensive and the most fashionable place ever in Japan* People there don’t just go for “what’s in” they like to mix and match and be creative and don’t dress for people.

I just read my Nylon magazine of the denim issue and on Cory Kennedy’s corner I read about ” mom jeans”. People absolutely hate them…..but they can still look good on some people like Cory K. What do you think???? ny mag thinks higher the waist the trendier….I think few people like cory can pull it off though =] but yes i think it can be cool in some ways =]

These are my vintage scarves that I bought from a swap meet/ flea market.

I got up at seven o’ clock on Saturday for this swap meet last year and digged in for vintage findings. Well, I found a ton of things first these scarves. I think they were .20cents each,& some 80’s /50’s shoes that were really clean *like they wore them only three times*and found some handbags.

I taught myself to alter and taper them to make all of my regular pants & jeans into skinnies<3 ….Hey it doesn’t take caliber ya know… can be worn by girls/ guys *unisex…WEll, i got the idea from American Apparel!! Whoa I’m getting a lot of views cool****it can save you a lot of bucks!!

ap

This is my version:

DIRECTIONS: click here *** first turn the pants inside out

beforeskinnies2blogpic2-008.jpgskinnies4skinnies5

*Click on the thumbnails to see details!

Pic#1 Just a cheap 25 dollar regular boot cut (on the other half leg)**1st measure it and make a mark w/ white pencil I prefer you measure your calves, knees & thighs with a measuring tape and guess how slim it’s gonna be and make a mark

Pic#2 Tapering/pre sewing* 2nd, cut tapered area w/ zig scissors then sew sides with serger or sewing machine.

Pic#3 If too long, cut off the bottom! 3rd sew the ends if cut& cut the sides where you tapered them …. im short that’s y ….If you have a serger that will be nice or just sew the sides where you cut them. you should doubble stitch it so that the fabric won’t fringe.

Pic#4 YAY finished<3

Pic#5 exapmle

Tips:

1.) Don’t use bright colored string to sew your pants, choose a string color that matches your pants!!

2.) Don’t sew your pants or jeans too tight!!

Have you given up??? or any idea?? comments plez or get it at any American App. for like 40 bucks…

Few celebs like Nicole Richie popularized them and in the past it was Jackie ‘O who symbolized these with her shocking fashion sense. I bought these two  for only $30!

Glitter Heart Polymer Clay Hair Pins July 28, 2007

Filed under: Crafts, FASHION, Uncategorized — tomatofizz @ 10:21 pm

I made these because I found a pack of silver polymer clay in my craft box…hehe

blogpics-011.jpg

It’s a hair pin

blogpics-018.jpg

This is what you need:

1. Polymer clay

2. Glitter

3. Clear nail polish or sealer

4. Bobbie pins

5. Craft Glue

6. Brush *small

Instructions:

Take the polymer clay out of the package and knead it until it gets softened.

Then, shape the clay in any shape you want, in my case it’s a simple heart. Start with a simple shape first. Then, bake it in the oven as the instruction in the package says. Be careful when you bake it might turn it brown. I baked mine for about 2mins. Take it out of the oven and wait until it hardens and cools off. Next, take the glue out and spread it on the shape, sprinkle glitter on it, and wait until it dries completely. When it is dry, paint a sealer or clear nail polish on the glitter. *this will keep the glitter from getting all over the place. Paint about two coats. Let it dry again and this part is done.

Glue the bobby pin with crazy glue or something more strong. Then carefully press the shape into the bobby pin. Let it dry and it’s time to ware it!
